Navigate Quick Start Guide for Students
Download the Navigate Student App You can also access Navigate from a web browser: https://forsythtech.navigate.eab.com/ Navigate FAQ's How do I log in? Download the app from the Google Play Store or App Store. You can also access Navigate from a web browser: https://forsythtech.navigate.eab.com/ What are the different features of Navigate? To-Dos, Appointments, and My Major. These are located on the left-hand side of the page. Click on different features to go from one to another. How do I change my notification settings? Go to My Profile and edit on the bottom left-hand side. How do I view my schedule? Select Class Schedule from the navigation menu. You can change the view from a list view to a schedule/calendar view. How do I schedule an appointment with my advisor? Log into your Navigate account. Click on Make an Appointment on the left-hand side. Follow the prompts. View more detailed instructions here. Who do I contact if I need help? For technical support, contact the ITS Support Center. For help with advising, contact the Student Success Center.

Schedule a Tutoring Appointment
1. Sign in to Navigate using your TechID and password - https://forsythtech.navigate.eab.com/ 2. Select Appointments from the navigation menu. 3. Select Schedule an Appointment. 4. Select the "Select" button under the heading Reason. 5. Select Tutoring. Then select Answer Next Question to continue. 6. Choose the type of tutoring appointment you would like to schedule. Select Done for Reason to continue. 7. Select Continue to Next Step. Then select the "Select" button under the heading Location & Staff. 8. Select a location and then select Answer Next Question to continue. 9. Select the staff member(s) you would like to meet with. You may choose more that one person. Select Done for Location and Staff to continue. 10. Select Continue to Next Step. Then select the day and time you would like to schedule your appointment for. Select Continue to Next Step to continue. 11. Select your appointment reminders, add your phone number, and add any optional comments. Select Confirm Appointment to finish.

Select Appointments from the navigation menu Select Schedule an Appointment: Select Advising from the list of options: Follow the remaining prompts to finalize and schedule your advising appointment.

How to Make Your Tutoring Appointments
How to Make Your Tutoring Appointments 1. Sign into Navigate using your TechID and password. Click here to access Navigate online 2. Click on Appointments from the navigation menu located on the left-hand side. 3. Click Schedule an Appointment 4. Click the down arrow under “What type of appointment would you like to schedule?” 5. Once your date and course are chosen, the tutor(s) available will be listed and their available timeslots will be shown. Click on the timeslot you want to receive tutoring. 6. Review your information. If you know what information you want the tutor’s help with during the session, include that in the area that asks “Would you like to share anything else?” This really helps the tutor prepare for your session! You can choose to receive an email reminder (to your Forsyth Tech email address) and/or text reminder to your phone. Click schedule once you’ve entered that information! 7. Your appointment has been created – you and the tutor will receive email confirmation. How to Cancel a Tutoring Appointment 1. On the Navigate homepage, click on Appointments. A list of upcoming appointments will be listed under the My Appointments tab. Click on the link for the appointment you want to cancel. 2. Select Cancel Appointment. 3. Select a reason from the drop-down menu; you are not required to leave comments but can if you would like. 4. Once you click Cancel Appointment, you and the tutor will receive email confirmation of the cancellation.

How to Register for Classes Using Navigate
Easily access the demo by clicking the badge over “My planner” go back at any time. A guide will take you along the steps. Add terms to your plan before adding courses. On the left column click on the advisor’s link. Add your advisor's academic plan to term. Click on view/edit schedule after you have added the courses to the term. Search and select the sections that work best. If you have the Navigate app once you register, you can see your class schedule. If you have any questions regarding registration, please call the Student Success Center at 336-734-7156.

How to Register for Classes Using Navigate Prior to registering for classes discuss your course choices with your academic advisor 1. Log into your TechLink Account at Techlink.forsythtech.edu 2. Once you are logged into Techlink, click on Navigate in the Quick Links section. 3. Click on Planner, located on the top menu bar. 4. In the right-hand column, choose the Add a Term button and select your semester. 5. In the right-hand column choose View/Edit Schedule 6. In the top left-hand side click on Search For Courses 7. Enter the keyword for the course then click Filter. If you need assistance with the keywords for your courses go to https://my.forsythtech.edu/Student/Planning/Programs/MyProgress This will show you your current courses that you will need to take for your degree. 8. You will see the Course added to search results as shown below. 9. Click Add courses to Term 10. After clicking Add Courses To Term as shown above, you will receive an approval similar to the below picture in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Beyond this notification, the rest of your screen will look the same as previous. 11. On the left-hand bar select My Planned Courses. If you are on the wrong semester, you will need to click on the Switch Terms button and click the current semester. 12. To the right of the selected course, click Sections. Afterwards, click to the left of the course and select Add Section. (If you do not like the current section, click view meetings and select a different class) 13. Click the checkmark box and click Register on the right-hand side. 11. After completing your registration, you will be given the option to print your schedule as shown below.
